Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
Parveen Kumar (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates PayRecord (“the app”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app and related services described on this website. By using PayRecord, you acknowledge the practices described here.
Summary
- Your records stay on your device. Income and expense entries you create are stored locally on your phone or tablet. We do not require you to create an account in the app for core tracking features, and we do not operate our own servers to store your transaction history for those features.
- Advertising. The app uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob and its partners may process technical and usage-related data as described below.
- Your control. You can remove app data from your device using system settings or in-app options where available.
Information stored locally on your device
PayRecord is built so that the data you enter—such as amounts, notes, categories, and dates—remains on your device unless a future feature explicitly tells you otherwise and you choose to use it. This local data is processed on-device to show your balances, lists, and summaries.
We do not sync this core app content to our own backend as part of the standard experience described here. You are responsible for backups if you need a copy of your data outside the device.
What we do not collect for core app features
For the local tracking features described above, we do not:
- Require login or account creation inside the app;
- Store your transaction content on servers we operate for those features;
- Ask for access to your contacts, bank accounts, or other sensitive external financial accounts as part of the app.
Advertising and Google AdMob
The app displays advertisements provided through Google AdMob, a service operated by Google LLC (and its affiliates). When ads are shown or loaded, Google may use its own technologies to measure performance, prevent fraud, and deliver relevant advertising where permitted by law and your settings.
Types of data that may be processed for ads
Depending on your device, region, and settings, AdMob and related Google services may process information such as:
- Device and technical data — for example device type, operating system version, language, and general location derived from IP address;
- Advertising identifier — on many Android devices, Google’s Advertising ID (or similar technologies) may be used to limit duplicate ads, measure campaigns, and support personalized advertising where allowed;
- App interaction data — such as ad impressions, clicks, and approximate interaction patterns related to advertising.
We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. AdMob operates as an independent advertising platform under Google’s policies. For details on how Google uses data, see Google’s Privacy & Terms and the Google Advertising policies.
By using PayRecord, you consent to such data processing by third-party advertising partners as described in their respective policies.
Third-party services and SDKs
Besides AdMob, the app or this website may rely on third parties that operate under their own terms—for example app stores (Google Play), hosting for this marketing site, or tools used to check for app updates over HTTPS where network calls are made. Those services may log technical information (such as IP address, timestamps, and request metadata) according to their own policies.
If you contact us for support by email or a form, we receive what you send us (for example your message and return address) only for responding to you.
Legal bases and regional notes
Where laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on legitimate interests and, where required, your consent (for example through system or in-app consent flows for personalized ads) to process data related to advertising and app operation. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing—many controls for advertising identifiers and personalized ads are available in your device settings and, where offered, Google’s account or ad settings.
Security
We design the app to keep your entered records on your device. Network connections that the app makes (for example update checks or advertising) use secure transport (HTTPS) where applicable. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; you should protect your device with a lock screen and keep your operating system updated.
Children’s privacy
PayRecord is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for our own purposes. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided information to us directly (for example through support email), contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Advertising services may apply additional age-related rules depending on region. Parents and guardians should use device-level parental controls offered by Google Play and the device manufacturer.
Your choices and data control
- Delete app data on the device: You can clear PayRecord data from Android system settings (typically Settings → Apps → PayRecord → Storage → Clear data), or uninstall the app. This removes locally stored entries from that device.
- Advertising preferences: On Android, you can reset or opt out of personalized ads using your Google account settings and the “Ads” section in system settings, subject to availability in your region.
- Support messages: If you email us, you may ask us to delete prior support correspondence where reasonable and lawful.
Retention
Transaction data you create remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Server logs related to this website or update endpoints are retained only as long as needed for security and operations, according to our providers’ practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may also provide notice in the app or on this website where appropriate. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
